Work Experience

Engineer, lawyer and C-level executive, Norrie was the founder of a company focused on building empathetic, interactive virtual characters for customer acquisition and service. He started his career as a manufacturing engineer for General Electric Company, was a partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, and the Chief Administrative Officer at Metavante Technologies, Inc. before commencing his entrepreneurial career.

Norrie co-managed the spin-off of Metavante into a NYSE-listed public entity in 2007 and left in 2008 to form his consulting company, advising entrepreneurs on financial and legal matters. His clients were in financial services, private aviation and healthcare. His first entrepreneurial pursuit was as CEO of a spin off from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee that developed personalized care plans for family caregivers of aging relatives. Having exited the business he founded, Norrie is now looking to combine his engineering, legal and business experience in the next phase of his career.

• 2013-2017

  Founder and CEO / Intelligent Digital Avatars, Inc.

  Born from his experience as a patient recovering from a life-threatening accident, Norrie recognized the need for an empathetic advisor and confidant for people dealing with complex issues in health, wealth and education. He developed an interactive avatar, with emotional intelligence and the ability to engage, educate and empower people to achieve a higher level of well-being. Clients included United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, American Family Insurance, Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, Capella University, Veterans Health Administration and Benefitfocus. Annual revenues grew from $70,000 in 2014 to $1.23 million in 2017.

  Principal / Daroga Law Offices, S.C.

  Solo practice representing global outsourcing vendors in automotive finance, federal contracting, payment systems and business process outsourcing. Represented medium sized companies in acquisitions and divestitures.

• 2018-2014

  Consultant / Avatar Ventures, Inc.

  Consultant to start-ups and early stage companies in private aviation, mortgage origination, call center operations, digital healthcare and fin tech. Three companies successfully exited for the co-founders.

• 1998-2008

  Exec VP & Chief Administrative Officer / Metavante Technologies, Inc.

  Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer - Responsible for $100 million in annual expenditures. Managed a team of over 300 professionals in the areas of Legal, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Privacy, Compliance, Internal Audit, Insurance, Strategic Sourcing, Data Center Infrastructure and Information Security. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act as a subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, a $50 billion bank holding company.
